Relationship Therapy Sessions

Therapy for people who are in a relationship together might be called different things

  • Couples Therapy

  • Intimate Partner Therapy

  • Relationship Therapy

  • Partnered Therapy

Regardless of that we call it, the main feature is that there is more than one person who comes to the therapy sessions.

My approach

I'm trained in a variety of relationship therapy approaches - known as a pluralistic approach. This means that I can tailor our work to suit your relationship, your needs, and your goals.

I draw on the Gottman Method, Imago Relationship Therapy, and the work of Dr Sue Johnson and Esther Perel.

Completed training:

  • Level 1 & Level 2 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy

  • Imago Fundamentals - Imago UK

  • Diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy (in progress)

Who can benefit

Relationships where there are communication issues, stuckness, wanting to think about the future, or wanting to increase intimacy.

I can also support with specific sexual issues within a relationship using psychosexual therapy

Who I work with

My therapy approach is welcoming to people of all sexual orientation, gender identity, and relationship styles - known as Gender, Sexual and Relationship Diversity (GSRD).

I am also neuro-affirming and welcoming to people wanting to explore relationship issues involving autism, ADHD, or other forms of neurodivergence. This might be relationships where one or all partners are autistic.

I can support people in monogamous relationships, along with people who identify as polyamorous, non-monogamous, or with Relationship Anarchy (RA).
