I danced from an early age, studying ballet, tap dance and musical theatre, but it wasn’t until I started dancing and performing again as an adult that I became really interested in the use of the body and of character work - to communicate; to explore different aspects of someone’s personality; and to relate to someone else’s experience.

Through training as a Dance Movement Psychotherapist (RDMP) I was able to deepen my understanding of these ideas and explore how expressive movement could be used as a psychotherapeutic treatment to support people experiencing emotional, psychological, or physical health issues.

My psychotherapy experience includes working with people of all ages, from newborn to centenarian, and I am committed to providing inclusive, non-judgemental support - particularly for people who may have experienced stigma or discrimination. As an integrative, creative arts psychotherapist, I make use of different approaches depending on the needs of the person.

I work with clients from different backgrounds; neurodivergent people (e.g. children with autism); LGBT+ children, young people and adults; and people from BAME backgrounds. I am happy to discuss if you have any concerns about accessibility needs or cultural needs.

I am fully insured, and have an enhanced DBS clearance. I am a full, registered member of the Association for Dance Movement Psychotherapy UK (ADMP UK) and I abide by their code of ethics and professional practice.

Rebecca Wilson Green RDMP

Since qualifying as a creative arts psychotherapist in 2013, I have been drawn to working with people exploring their relationship with their body & their identity. This has included working with people affected by significant health issues which have interrupted their lives, relationships, and their sexual pleasure.

This has led me to training in sex & relationship therapy - or psychosexual therapy - with the CICS Diploma in Clinical Sexology and Relationship Therapy.

From Autumn 2024 I will be taking on a small number of clients with an interest in exploring sex & relationship issues - as a trainee psychosexual therapist under supervision.

This will be on a case-by-case basis, and some lower cost spaces will be available.

To express an interest, please contact me by sending a message.

Psychosexual Issues

Common worries about sexual functioning can include:

  • Low sexual desire - for people of all genders

  • Pain during sex or penetration - for female-bodied people

  • Erection or ejaculation issues - for people with a penis

My therapy approach is welcoming to people of all sexual orientation, gender identity, and relationship styles - known as Gender, Sexual and Relationship Diversity (GSRD).
