Rebecca Wilson Green RDMP
Dance Movement Psychotherapy
I danced from an early age, studying ballet, tap dance and musical theatre, but it wasn’t until I started dancing and performing again as an adult that I became really interested in the use of the body and of character work - to communicate; to explore different aspects of someone’s personality; and to relate to someone else’s experience.

Through training as a Dance Movement Psychotherapist (RDMP) I was able to deepen my understanding of these ideas and explore how expressive movement could be used as a psychotherapeutic treatment to support people experiencing emotional, psychological, or physical health issues.
My psychotherapy experience includes working with people of all ages, from newborn to centenarian, and I am committed to providing inclusive, non-judgemental support - particularly for people who may have experienced stigma or discrimination. As an integrative, creative arts psychotherapist, I make use of different approaches depending on the needs of the person.
I work with clients from different backgrounds; neurodivergent people (e.g. children with autism); LGBT+ children, young people and adults; and people from BAME backgrounds. I am happy to discuss if you have any concerns about accessibility needs or cultural needs.

I am fully insured, and have an enhanced DBS clearance. I am a full, registered member of the Association for Dance Movement Psychotherapy UK (ADMP UK) and I abide by their code of ethics and professional practice.
I qualified as a creative arts psychotherapist in 2013 – with an MA in Dance Movement Psychotherapy from University of Roehampton. Over the past 10 years I’ve worked as a therapist, wellbeing coach & educator, service manager and senior clinician.
This has involved working with children & young people, parents & carers, adults, and older adults (70yrs+). I have worked in the community with schools and charities, as well as working in the NHS within mental health services and GP surgeries.

I currently support people through roles at local & national charity services, as well as working with people online in the UK and in-person sessions in the south-east of England.

I am a qualified online therapist & supervisor, which covers working therapeutically via video sessions, telephone, instant messaging, and through weekly email messages. Providing online video sessions means that I can offer support to people across the UK or abroad (excl. USA and Canada), or for people who have barriers to attending therapy sessions in-person.

I am fully insured and have an enhanced DBS clearance. I am a full, registered member of the Association for Dance Movement Psychotherapy UK (ADMP UK) and National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists (NCIP). I abide by both of their code of ethics and professional behaviour.
