What I offer

I provide creative movement psychotherapy sessions - using Dance Movement Psychotherapy (DMP), integrative counselling, embodiment, and mindfulness.

Dance Movement Psychotherapy (DMP) is a form of psychotherapy where a specially trained psychotherapist makes use of movement and creative expression, alongside talking together as you would in a counselling session.

It is a holistic approach which involves working with the whole person, including your physical body. This means that it can be used to explore parts of yourself that have become disconnected, as well as looking at your relationship with your body.

You do not need to have any experience of movement or dance, and you do not need to be a "creative" person to benefit from a session.

I welcome people who identify as LGBTQIA+ and people who are neurodivergent,

including late-diagnosed or self-diagnosed autistic adults.

I am committed to anti-racist and anti-oppressive practice,

and I would be very happy to talk with you about any accessibility or cultural needs.

I provide inclusive, non-judgemental support -

particularly for people who have experienced stigma or discrimination in the past.

Areas I can support with include:

  • Low mood, worry, or stress

  • Questions about identity

  • Struggles with low self-esteem or shame

  • Carers support - looking after a loved one who is ill

  • Body image

  • Gender, sexuality and relationship diverse (GSRD) identities

I have a particular interest in working with people around medical conditions, surgery, and treatment. I have worked with people affected by cancer, dementias - Alzheimer's disease and rarer or young-onset forms of dementia, stroke, HIV, Parkinson's disease, diabetes, heart disease, COPD.

I also work with people who have a condition that makes the body look different or changed in some way, including marks, scars, burns, dermatology conditions, and congenital (from birth) differences.

This list is not exhaustive, so if you don't see yourself here and you would like to work together - please do get in touch.
